インバースETF
1日単位でインデックスと逆方向に動くよう設計されたファンド。
An inverse ETF targets the opposite of its index's daily return (-1x, -2x, -3x), letting investors position for declines without shorting. Like leveraged funds, they reset daily, so multi-day results depend on the path of returns, not just the endpoint.
Held through a volatile sideways market, an inverse fund can lose money even if the index finishes lower than it started. Financing costs and fees add further drag. They are trading instruments, not long-term hedges.
If a fund's name contains 'Short', 'Inverse', 'Bear', or a negative multiple, read the issuer's daily-objective language carefully before assuming anything about longer holding periods.
