About this ETF

As a component of the Vanguard Target Maturity Corporate Bond series, VBCE distinguishes itself by functioning more like a standalone bond than a conventional bond fund. Rather than offering continuous exposure to a segment of the US corporate investment-grade bond market, this fund provides a specific, "bullet" maturity date of December 15, 2031. As this target date approaches, the fund's remaining maturity, duration, and yield-to-maturity will gradually diminish. On its predetermined expiration date, VBCE will liquidate, distributing all capital back to its investors. This particular design makes it an excellent tool for constructing bond ladders. In essence, VBCE presents an efficient way to gain exposure to a diverse collection of high-quality US corporate bonds, all while replicating the natural progression of an individual bond's existence.

Guided help: AUM is fund size. The expense ratio is the yearly cost baked into returns. NAV is the value of what the fund owns per share; the market price can sit slightly above (premium) or below (discount) it. Total return assumes distributions were reinvested. Every dataset shows its own as-of date because holdings, assets and quotes update on different schedules.
