This fund targets a multiple or the inverse of a DAILY return. Over longer periods, compounding makes results differ — sometimes drastically — from the index times the multiple. Issuers describe these as short-term trading tools. How leveraged ETFs work →

About this ETF

The investment seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, of 300% of the inverse (or opposite) of the daily performance of the S&P MidCap 400 Index. The fund, under normal circumstances, invests in swap agreements, futures contracts, short positions or other financial instruments that, in combination, provide inverse (opposite) or short leveraged exposure to the index equal to at least 80% of the fund's net assets (plus borrowing for investment purposes). The index measures the performance of 400 mid-sized companies in the United States. The fund is non-diversified.

Guided help: AUM is fund size. The expense ratio is the yearly cost baked into returns. NAV is the value of what the fund owns per share; the market price can sit slightly above (premium) or below (discount) it. Total return assumes distributions were reinvested. Every dataset shows its own as-of date because holdings, assets and quotes update on different schedules.
